Dr. MacCallum is a clinical instructor in the dept of Medicine at UBC and the medical director at Greenleaf Medical Clinic, a cannabis clinic, using Health Canada approved cannabis. Her publication, Practical Consideration for Medical Cannabis Administration and Dosing is the first of its kind on medical cannabis dosing. She is the expert for several medical cannabis courses; qualified as a medical cannabis expert and testified in arbitration on impairment. She is working with health benefit programs, universities, hospitals, ministry and national committees to create; cannabis guidelines, safe THC prescribing practices, clinical trials and patient registries. She is particularly interested in studying cannabis and its effects on: opioids and polypharmacy reduction, health care economics and safety sensitive work/driving.
