Cristina Sánchez is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Complutense University (Madrid, Spain). Her research focuses in describing and understanding the molecular mechanisms responsible for cannabinoid antitumor action. She’s a member of the Spanish Cannabinoid Research Society Board of Directors, and one of the founders and current Secretary of the Spanish Observatory on Medicinal Cannabis.

Antitumor Effect of Cannabinoid – Based Therapies in Preclinical Models of the Different Subtypes of Breast Cancer

I will be presenting data showing that whole-plant cannabis extracts are more potent than pure cannabinoids in producing antitumor responses in cell culture and animal models of the different subtypes of breast cancer.
