CEO of Cannabis Club TV, Danny started his career in the Action Sports Industry first acquiring Santa Cruz Surf Shop, operating 5 retail locations and then one of the first ecommerce websites Skateboards.com (along with Surfboards.com, Bodyboards.com and Snowboards.com) where his business provided early adoption of ecommerce for a majority of the industry.
During this time he became aware of the need to address food insecurity issues within the skate/surf youth community. He founded and still operates Grind Out Hunger, a nonprofit focused on youth utilizing action sports and music to bring awareness and create solutions. In 2009 he licensed his action sports business and transferred into the nonprofit realm full-time, leading the Second Harvest Food Bank Development Team as Chief Development and Financial Officer. He constructed a five-year technology plan and streamlined operations, while elevating the fundraising to over 4MM per year.
In 2011, when the Golden State Warriors purchased and relocated the Santa Cruz Warriors to his hometown, Keith engaged his political influence and helped all parties come to the table and eventually brought the NBA to Santa Cruz. He then continued on to be their Director of Sponsorships where he built the sponsorship revenue from the ground up to an eventual 1MM per year. Keith received numerous awards within the NBA for top sales, volume of sales accounts and creative deals. Keith was able to enjoy the double championship in 2015 and received Golden State Championship and Santa Cruz Warrior Rings.
In 2016 after his wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor, his father was losing his battle with opiates and his longtime business partner Tommy Chong was diagnosed with rectal cancer, Keith felt the calling to create Cannabis Club TV and change the narrative and stigma around cannabis consumption.
He is a passionate advocate of medicinal cannabis and has seen the positive effects firsthand.
Danny Keith has been a visionary within various industries identifying opportunities for success in the fields of marketing, sales, technology and executive team building. He has built, operated, and sold numerous businesses and has raised over $20MM in nonprofit and corporate fundraising. He’s worked in social media, Internet development, nonprofits, surf and action sports and professional sports
He lives in Santa Cruz Ca. with his wife Taniya, their two sons and their animals. He surfs every moment he can spare and often travels internationally on surf safari’s.
